There are still a number of different activities happening on campus right now to help raise funds for Haiti and there are sure to be more in the coming days.
We are compiling a list of all the different ways you can help, volunteer or donate funds, and will continue to update this page. Organizers of relief efforts for Haiti, including the Ralliement étudiant Haïti-Canada and ACSioN, can now be found in their office space at H-1031-5, Hall Building, 1455 De Maisonneuve Blvd., West. Tel: 514-848-2424 ext. 5127.
Concordia has announced $45,000 worth of funding for Quebec residents who were born in Haiti. These emergency need-based bursaries worth $1,000 each are available through the Financial Aid and Awards office to full-time students. Separate emergency funds are available to international students. Find out more.
Counselling and Development is set up to meet with any students who come to their offices at either campus and identify that they are there due to the crisis in Haiti. They can be reached by phone at 514-848-2424 ext. 3545 (SGW) or at ext. 3555 (Loyola).
Multi-faith Chaplaincy is available to meet with students for spiritual guidance and offers space for prayer and meditation. They can be reached at 514-848-2424 ext. 3593.
The Centre for Native Education extends a warm welcome to all Haitian students to come and meet with Morning Star, the Centre’s spiritual Elder. She can be reached at 514-848-2424 ext. 7327 (Hall-642) and is happy to speak with students on an individual basis or in a group. Morning Star’s hours are 10 am to 5 pm, Monday to Wednesday.

The bins to collect non-perishables and clothing have been removed.
People still wishing to make donations may do so at the CSU, H1031-5 and at the Dean of Students offices, H-637, 1455 de Maisonneuve Blvd., West.
In lieu of cloth and food donations, boxes will go up from Better World Books. Each year, Better World Books collects any used books and then turns them into cash which goes to a charity. This year, the proceeds will go to Haiti relief.
University Communications Services organized a bake sale on January 20 to help raise funds for aid in Haiti. With the generosity of the Concordia community, they raised $1,800. Organizer Marion Elissalde has issued a challenge to other departments.
Students collecting coins for Haiti over the past week have succeeded in gathering $6,522. The money will be donated to Oxfam Quebec. There will be more collections this week.

The Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science Faculty’s ‘Coffee Break for a Cause’, held on January 29, raised over $500. All proceeds will go to the Red Cross’ efforts in Haiti.
