Concordia Engineering Students raise $20,000 for the Montreal Children’s Hospital

ECAid raises funds for charity

Members of Concordia’s Engineering Students Association (ECA) went to the Montreal Children’s Hospital last week, April 30, to participate in their annual Caring for Kids Radiothon.

The ECA sponsored a “Miracle Hour” from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. During the hour 231 people had to call to join the “Circle of Hugs”, with the aim of helping to purchase a machine to detect asthma in children.

The ECA achieved their goal and ECAid, the charity branch of the ECA, donated $20,000 to the Radiothon.

The ECA wishes to thank the Concordia community for all their support, and hopes they’ll join them again at next year’s Radiothon.
