The Concordia Volunteer Abroad Program presents a photographic essay by Matthew Hood and Devin Wells.
Entitled Limbo, the essay takes us on a journey to Northern Uganda, and inside the world of an Internally Displaced People (IDP) camp.
Through their photographs, Hood and Wells focus on one of these camps, and all the individuals who inhabit it.
When: January 26 to February 1
Where: McConnell Library Atrium, 1400 De Maisonneuve Blvd., West.
The vernissage will take place on Monday, January 26, from 6 to 9 p.m.
Both Hood and Wells are photography majors at Concordia. They wanted to work on a documentary that would cover an issue (the 22 year civil conflict in Northern Uganda) that has received relatively little notice in the popular media.
The prints will be for sale on the opening night, through a silent auction. All proceeds from the sale will go directly to starting a sustainable initiative in the IDP camp.
