An interdisciplinary student production, organized by Adam O’Callaghan, this concert aims to celebrate the centennial of Raymond Scott’s birth.
It will showcase the life and works of Scott as composer, bandleader, inventor and electronic music pioneer.

Tickets are $10 ($5 for students with I.D.)
The event will feature 70+ participants from Concordia University (plus special guests) recreating material from all periods of Scott’s prolific career.
Included will be novelties from his 1930s and 1940s chamber-jazz quintets, overlooked orchestral works from his 1940s dance/concert bands and selections from his Secret Seven ensembles.
Also, to be performed for the first time in public, will be works from Scott’s groundbreaking electronic releases Soothing Sounds for Baby & Manhattan Research Inc.
The show will also feature world premieres of Scott obscurities, as well as choreography by students in Dance, Theatre, and other departments of Concordia’s Faculty of Fine Arts.
