Email phishing attack: Never give out your username or password

In the wake of yet another phishing scam at Concordia, we wish to remind everyone to please delete any such emails immediately.

Phishers send out mass emails to targeted recipients with the hopes of at least a few recipients replying with their personal information. Unfortunately, Concordia is often targeted due to the large number of account holders.

Concordia University will never ask for your personal information by phone, email, or URL unless it is in response to a support request you have initiated.

Concordia University will never ask for your password, nor should businesses, banks, and other institutions.

Please take the time to read IITS’ email phishing FAQ.

If you are ever unsure of the authenticity of an email, or if you have any other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the Helpline at (514) 848-2424, ext. 7613 or help@concordia.ca.
