A minute of silence in solidarity with the people of Haiti

Under the leadership of CREPUQ, all of Quebec’s universities held a minute of silence in solidarity with the people of Haiti as they struggle with the aftermath of last week’s devastating earthquake.

As the casualty toll continues to climb, supporting Haiti becomes even more critical as disease and scarcity of resources threaten the survivors.

At 4:53 p.m. on January 19, precisely one week after the earthquake struck, Concordia invited all students, faculty and staff to observe a minute of silence for the people of Haiti.

It was a gesture to pay our respects to those whose lives have been lost and signify our determination to help Haiti get back on its feet.
