Marc Tisseur appointed Acting Assistant Director, User Services
It is with pleasure that Acting Head of IITS, Loni Cornax, announces the appointment of Marc Tisseur as Acting Assistant Director, User Services, effective December 9, 2009.
In this new role, Mr. Tisseur will direct the development, enhancement and maintenance of the university’s IITS academic facilities and services. This includes the management of electronic classrooms, auditoria, seminar rooms, cinemas, videoconferencing rooms and student computer and multi-media laboratories, as well as student service areas, desktop support and the helpline.
“Given Marc’s extensive IT experience and comprehensive understanding of the university, I am confident that he will successfully lead the User Services area in its commitment to user satisfaction and technological advancement,” said Ms. Cornax.
Marc Tisseur served as Senior Consultant (Office Technology) for two years before his promotion to Manager, Office Technology and Helpline, in January 2000. Prior to this, he served as Consultant (Office Technology), Data Communications Consultant, and Monitor for the Loyola computer labs.
Mr. Tisseur holds a Bachelor of Commerce, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Computer Science, from Concordia University. He also recently completed a Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management.
Ted Zeisner appointed Acting Manager, Office Technology and Helpline
It is also with pleasure that Loni Cornax and Marc Tisseur announce that Ted Zeisner has been appointed Acting Manager, Office Technology and Helpline, effective December 10, 2009.
Reporting to the Assistant Director, User Services, Mr. Zeisner will be responsible for managing computing and related automation technologies, and consultative services. He will ensure that both the Office Technology Group and the Helpline meet the specific requirements of the Concordia community. This includes managing the implementation of desktop computing and office solutions in a cost effective, reliable and functional manner.
Ted Zeisner most recently held the position of Senior DSG Consultant. He has also acted as IITS Helpline representative, as well as Technical Support Analyst for Carleton University. Mr. Zeisner holds a Bachelor of Arts from Concordia University.
