In August 2009, Rich SwamiNathan joined the Residence Life Department as Coordinator, Residence Life, Loyola Campus.

He is responsible for the overall management of the residences located on the Loyola campus. He brings to Concordia experience as a residence manager at both the University of Western Ontario as well as McMaster University. His most recent experience was in the private sector developing community service-learning programs for young adults. SwamiNathan also has experience in the area of community service-learning through volunteerism both locally and internationally and has already made his mark in at Concordia in promoting the “Alternative Spring Break”.

James Guthrie joined the Department in July 2008 on a contractual basis as Coordinator, Residence Life, SGW campus. He was appointed into a permanent position in June 2009. Guthrie is a graduate from McGill’s School of Social Work where he received his BSW. While completing his degree, Guthrie worked for two years as a live-in resident assistant and upon graduation was hired by the McGill Residences and Student Housing Department as the Residence Life Supervisor. He maintained that position for three years until Concordia won him over.
